Abstract

This article presents a systematic review of 48 publications (2018–2024) on microservices adoption in Southeast Asian e-government systems. Thematic analysis identifies key challenges: orchestration complexity, inter-service security, and workforce readiness. A staged recommendation framework is proposed for government agencies migrating from monoliths to microservices.
